intent: trade is coming to iPhone Duo
intent: trade · Published
We are preparing a new version of intent: trade with support for iPhone Duo. The goal is straightforward: keep everyday trade journaling comfortable across the phone's two display sizes, whether you are adding context to a trade or sitting down to review your week.
A new phone, two display sizes
In its official iPhone Duo announcement, Apple introduces its first foldable iPhone with a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display. Those dimensions give us two different spaces to consider when preparing the journal layout.
Our focus is on the routine you already bring to your journal. A short note after a trade and a longer review at the end of the week ask different things of a screen. We want the upcoming update to make that everyday work clear and readable at both sizes.
Preparing the daily journal and calendar
For day-to-day journaling, our goal is to keep trade details and notes easy to read without making the layout feel crowded. The work is about how the existing journal fits the available space, with attention to the information you need when recording a decision and returning to it later.
The calendar is another part of that preparation. It gives a daily view of your recorded activity, while a weekly review gives you time to read the notes behind those days. We are preparing the presentation of these familiar views for the different display sizes on iPhone Duo.
More room for a thoughtful review
Our aim for the larger display is a comfortable view of your journal during review. You might revisit a busy trading day, read your reasons for entering a position, or compare your notes with your original plan. The purpose stays the same: keep a useful record of what you did and why.
